Praying the Vision God Placed in Our Hearts

When Your Marriage Becomes the Ground Where Vision Grows

Recently, I created a vision board for Pamper Your Marriage as well as every area in our life.

Not just a collage of dreams…But a declaration of what I believe God is building through our marriage.

And if I’m being honest…

I don’t fully see the path yet. But we are praying into it.

There are moments in our walk with God where He shows us what…

But not always how.

I can clearly see:

• Strong, God-honoring marriages

• Couples being restored

• Generations impacted

• A ministry that multiplies beyond what we could imagine

But the steps to get there?

They aren’t always clear.

And that’s where the Prayer Pillar becomes everything.

Prayer isn’t just something we do. It’s where everything begins.

It’s where:

• ideas become assignments

• dreams become direction

• and vision becomes surrendered

Bill and I have found ourselves in a season where we are not just praying for our marriage…

We are praying through our marriage.

Praying over:

• the vision

• the impact

• the people God will reach

• and the legacy that will come after us

The Lord pampers His Church through prayer by drawing us close to Him.

He doesn’t just give us direction from a distance. He invites us into His presence.

He:

• listens

• leads

• corrects

• comforts

• and reveals

Just like a loving Bridegroom would.

When we pray together in marriage, we are stepping into that same rhythm—learning how to walk in unity with Him and with each other.

As I look at this vision board, I don’t just see ministry.

I see us.

I see:

• the quiet conversations in the middle of the night

• the faith it takes to believe God for more

• and the unity it takes to walk it out together

Because this vision isn’t just something we do…

It’s who we are becoming.

Take a moment with your spouse and ask:

• What vision has God placed on our hearts?

• Are we praying about it… or truly praying into it?

• What would it look like for our marriage to be aligned with God’s purpose?

You don’t have to have the whole path figured out. You just have to stay connected to the One who does. Because when you pray together, you are not just strengthening your marriage—you are partnering with God in something bigger than yourselves.

Your marriage doesn’t have to be perfect. It just needs to be pampered.
